An extensive refurbishment and modernisation of a 1940’s detached house in Hove. An infill single storey extension providing much needed additional living / dining and kitchen space.
The infill extension forms part of a wider modernisation of this detached 1940s Hove house. Rather than adding a separate room, the single-storey intervention provides the additional area needed to improve the kitchen, dining and living accommodation together.
The project demonstrates how a focused extension can support a broader refurbishment, allowing an existing family home to be updated while retaining its established character and making better use of the ground-floor plan.
