Constructing the apartment above an existing warehouse made careful use of previously undeveloped air space within a central Brighton conservation area. The lightweight timber structure and zinc cladding establish a contemporary rooftop identity while responding to the constraints of the building below.
The 100sqm plan provides two bedrooms, separate bath and shower facilities and high-specification living accommodation. A perimeter balcony extends the usable space outdoors, while a private lift entrance gives the penthouse direct and convenient access.
